is an excerpt from Plato’s Symposium, where Plato is talking about how people used to be creatures with four hands, four legs, two heads and two hearts, until Zeus separated them, thus creating people how they are today, and thats why theyre always looking for their other half (the other heart that was separated from their own). the passage says:
and because nature was cut in half, each half now wants/ aches for the other (my translation)

Our hero Montero appears as Orpheus, the musician. In the Ancient Greek story, Orpheus was waiting under a tree playing music for his beloved Eurydice who is attacked by a snake and dies before she could return to him. Orpheus then travels to the underworld to try to retrieve his lover. In the video, Montero takes the roles of Orpheus and Eurydice, meaning that he must go through hell in search of his true self and find self love and acceptance.
In the video the snake is also Montero. It is his sensuality that has been deemed just as monstrous by religious society as the serpent of the Garden of Eden. In another form, Montero is brought before an unjust court for his ‘sin’. Next he ascends heavenward, away, away from everything deemed evil before plummeting gracefully down to hell where he fully embraces his sensuality.
In the end we see a Montero with the wings of an Angel and adorned in horns ripped from Satan’s head. The shame that made him hide parts of himself from the world has been defeated. He is whole, with no half aching for the other.
